Featured Artist Barbara Hertz

Tecumseh artist, Barbara Hertz will be featured at the Floral Gallery through the months of November and December. Born in Dover, New Jersey, Barbara is proud to say that art has always been a part of her life. With her husband in the Air Force, she was allowed many opportunities to study under the instruction of well-known artists from coast to coast. Winning top awards in many different places, her advice to all aspiring artist is to simply “keep going.”

Upon her husband’s retirement thirty years ago, Barbara and her family now live on the edge of Tecumseh and continue to enjoy the small town atmosphere. Now a well-known local artist, Barbara has sculpted four soldiers “Faces of Freedom” and created “Tecumseh Run” for the Tecumseh Veterans Memorial. Barbara is also the painter of two horses for the Shawnee Horse in the City project. Featured in numerous magazines and exhibitions, and having done many commissions and celebrated many other honors, Barbara is realizing her dream of becoming a successful artist.

Artwork by Barbara Hertz is currently on display at the Floral Gallery at 701 N. Broadway in Tecumseh and will remain up through December.
